Default Please Help!!

We recently installed a subfloor to prepare for hardwood floors that will be installed in the coming weeks. The problem is my 2 yr old Yorkie Chase started pooping on it a couple days ago. He’s been potty trained for awhile now and has not been in a x pen in over a year. Where is this coming from and how might I stop it? I figured he’s doing it because it’s something new but I hope he won’t continue this behavior when my new floors are put down. I thought my only worry with him would be keeping his nails cut so he don’t scratch it.
Also whenever we go anywhere like Home Depot or the groomer (when he went) he automatically has to poop. I figured that’s his way of marking but as I said he haven’t had an accident in our house in a very long time. Well over a year. He’s very good at waiting until we take him outside. I need this behavior to stop like yesterday!!!
