I received an email notice from my vet’s office this morning about heartworm/flea medications. It says the manufacturer of Interceptor is phasing it out of production, and their office is substituting Simparica Trio for patients on Interceptor. I recall there was a thread here a month or two ago, with concerns about Simparica Trio because it was so recently approved so hadn’t been widely used yet.

Just wondering: have those of you with smaller yorkies had success/problems with heartworm/flea meds? I’m always leery of giving meds that are for a dog “up to 25 pounds” to a four pound dog. It seems to be pushing the limits of safety for a very small animal.
