I got Sadie five days ago, and she has only eaten 5 pebble of hard food.
She downed a 1/2 can of soft food the second day, but I know that this cannot be healthy. She needs something to keep those teeth clean.

She has an appetite if I feed her soft food, but she just won't eat hard food.
Today, I decided to feed her a tiny treat - chicken jerky and she ate that.
I have not given her any soft food, as I am determined to get her to eat hard food.

The breeder gave me some of her hard food, but she won't touch it.

I am wondering if she ever ate it, because she lived with six pups, two other adult Yorkies, two cats and a St. Bernard. I would think it would be difficult to see if she ate hard food with that many animals in the house.

Any tips or suggestions? I don't want her to get sick, but I thought if I kept the soft food away from her, that she would get hungry enough and eat it.
I am ready to cave in, as surely she must be hungry.

She drinks plenty of water.
