I enjoyed reading everyones' suggestions, ideas, pictures of the paws and nails, and videos. It made me feel good that I'm not the only one with dog nail issues. I was struggling with this. It will take time and patience for Bella to allow me to touch her toe nails after the trauma of making her bleed when I clipped her blood vessel. I'm so afraid to clip her nails again. Especially not at this time, she's not calm. I'm going to try both the nail filing and grinder suggestions you mention here. Hopefully with a lot of patience, treats and over a period of time she will let me. I ordered the nail grinder yesterday from Amazon and hope it will be as quiet as advertised, but it won't arrive til some time in June to July unfortunately. In the meantime, I'm going to try out the nail block and filing with sandpaper that Mike and Me's video showed. It is a great video, loved it! Mike is such a cutie and adorable. Thank you everyone!
