I was upset about it when I heard it because I have two children and I know how scary that would be for my 6 year old son. But after seeing those tapes, now I feel like there was really nothing else that could have been done. The mother wouldn't even leave her job to come get her! (That shows a real responsible mother right there doesn't it?) I can't think of any other thing that teacher could have done better or differently. She removed the other children from the classroom, she didn't touch her and she didn't even yell at her. That was a day from hell for that poor lady! I think she did everything right. I do think it was a huge cry for attention from that little girl. She sure got a lot of attention for making that big scene, even negative attention is attention. It was interesting to see her sit right down and behave as soon as the police got there. I do feel bad for the little girl because it is not her fault the way she is being raised, and we don't know what kind of environment she has to grow up in. If her parents haven't taught her that there are consequences to her bad behavior, this experience certainly will. Although if her parents are suing unfortunately she will probably learn an entirely different lesson from this experience.

I especially appreciate the teacher removing the other children from the room. I would be very upset if my child was injured by another child that was uncontrollable in class and nothing was done about it. I would rather hear that a child was arrested than aloud to be near my son and throw things and hit. I would be a very MAD mommy!
