I got these to fence off a part of my yard for Maggie to potty in safely. Yes, a big dog could jump in and get her, but I only use it to let her out to go and I watch her the whole time. My son just got it for one side of his yard because he plans to move, but the nice thing is you can install it yourself and actually take it with you to your new place. My son has vinyl fence on the sides, but likes the view out the back so he used it across the back.
