I decided to change foods because Finny is getting older and was declining in awareness and activity, and her seizures were increasing more so in frequency than intensity. Chloe was itching a lot, which I suspect was either an allergy to chicken or possibly a yeast thing.
They’ve been eating Dr Harvey’s now for about a month and I am super excited about the changes I’m seeing in both my dogs. Finny has so much more energy and her seizures have stopped almost completely, and the two she did have were so much less intense and shorter in duration. Chloe still itches some, but much less.
I was feeding Purina ProPlan Savor, Focus, and Bright Mind dry food, mixed. Thinking now maybe the preservatives in kibble are not good. Dr. Harvey’s is freeze dried so no preservatives needed. |
AWESOME! I am so glad to hear that Finny and Chloe are thriving on their new food. My two are blossoming- it is way too soon to know the long-term effects, but for now my girls are doing great and I'm enjoying surprising them with a different proteins.
