Depending on where you live leash walk him where he will see ppl.
The most important thing is, 4 days is not long enough for him to adjust to his new home, new humans, sounds, smells, schedules. He hasn't had time to bond with you, to trust you, remember, he just left the only home he knew for the first 18 weeks of his life. Working with and teaching your puppy basic commands, sit, stay, come, helps build a bond between you and the puppy and always reward with a treat and happy praise when he does what you are teaching him to do. Since he has been with you and many ppl have entered your home in these 4 days may have overwhelmed him since he hasn't gotten use to you and his new family yet. Sit him on your lap and try brushing his hair, touching and holding his paws, bond with him so he gains trust in you, so he can trust strangers that will enter his new life. | Great advice! We also have a new puppy and my only other bit of advice is to shut the closet door so puppy doesn't get into something he should not. |
