Dr Harvey’s, Balance It Issues Hi. I need help. I just got my sample today from Dr Harvey’s and wanted to try it out. Measured out a scoop and added a scoop of boiling water. I decided to use egg for the protein. The instructions said to use 4-6 ounces of protein. The egg carton listed the amount of protein for 1 egg as being 6 grams, converted to ounces = 0.21 ounces. 4 ounces divided by 0.21 ounces = 19.04 eggs! This can’t be right....
So, frustrated, I searched YT for Dr Harvey’s, and someone mentioned Balance It so I looked that up. Plugged in some items to come up with a recipe and it said I needed to add 4.5 teaspoons of their product. Okay, so I add it to my cart, but before I buy it I want to read the label. All ingredients look good, until I see the calories. 10.35 Kcal. 1 Kcal = 1000 calories, so I’d be adding 46,575 calories to a day’s worth of food????
What am I doing wrong? Small dogs only require about 200-400 calories per day. People only require 1000-4000, 8000 for some athletes, per day... depending on weight and activity levels.
I made the sample up with 2 eggs and divided it between my two pups. It smelled very good, and they absolutely loved it, but I’m afraid of them not getting enough protein. I will not feed them 19.whatever eggs in one day, or even a week. I would never feed a large dog 19 eggs in one day.
Just sad that this makes no sense to me. |
