Well I don't think it was a hot spot. Rikki went for grooming the other day and I think the groomer burned him with the dryer. Poor guy. The first night he would not let me near the wound to put some soothing cream. But yesterday and today I was able to spray it with cooling gel.
Personally, I would not go back to the groomer but since he is a foster I have to follow the rescue's instructions. They get a discount for grooming and use that place. They also did not cut his nails or shave the but area to my liking.
I let the rescue group know about the burn and will let them discuss it with the groomer.
This actually allowed me to re-supply my first aid for the dogs as a lot of the items had expired so now I am up to date on the the basic necessities.
