Default Do you feed each Yorkie a different food?

Obviously my puppy is getting puppy food but I have 1 yorkie that is too heavy and 2 that are fine weight wise. My daughter thinks I should feed them all a limited ingredient diet because she took animal nutrition courses as part of her pre vet program. My vet recommended putting all of the adults on the weight control diet either through their current brand or another high quality brand. I’m not afraid to spend $50-$65 per 20-25 lb bag but much more than that seems high to me (I could be wrong). I want to feed them well and I have pet insurance and a great vet but my daughter thinks I’m cheaping out since I think $23 for a 14oz. bag isn’t reasonable and my vet doesn’t believe it’s necessary. My dogs are all healthy (a little allergies to weeds in one). They get glucosamine and chondroiten to support their knees but other than that, they are great. My oldest is approaching 5years old. Should they all have different foods and is it necessary to spend more than $25 per pound of food?

I want to be a good mom to my pups but I’m not sure what’s best anymore.🙁
