I dropped Thumper off this morning. He is scheduled for surgery between 12-5 pm and they will call me when he is finished. Most likely he will have about 3-5 teeth extractions done. He has the cutest smile with his bottom buck teeth but unfortunately they are loose so the Vet thinks they might need to be extracted once she views the x-rays.

The bump will be removed and biopsied which takes 3-5 days for results. There are two skin tags that will also be removed.

He will need to be on wet food for the next 10-14 days while his gums heal according to the Vet so I need to get some for him as I only feed dry food.

We will follow up with the vet in 10-14 days so they can re-check him and heal.

This is such a different experience than the last time he had his teeth cleaned about 3 years ago. They didn't do any extractions and no follow up care. I was also never told to feed wet food for his gums to heal before.

I can't say enough how much all your thoughts and comments on this thread has helped me relax. I am not nervous about the bump and believe it will be fine once removed.

I will keep everyone updated once I have him home.
