There can also be other reasons for early delivary. Make sure and check with your vet on those as well and test your mom for them. So this is not an issue again. So far fingers crossed I have not personally had one come that early. But I can have some small ones when I have a large litter. Right now I am exhausted trying to stay ontop of 3 girls and 1 boy. Two of them are VERY tiny.... 1 1/4 ounces and 1 1/2 ounces. She went full term to. Just to many for her to carry as she is 5 lbs. Even though she free whelped, I would of been much happier with two big ones! Good reason not to breed them under 5 lbs. And she is such a wonderful first time mommy. So far they are still hanging in there and nursing. holding there weight. So maybe fingers crossed they will make it.
Loosing them can be very trying and emotionally draining.
And loosing a mom is horrific, as the memories never go away!
