I’ve always found it funny that throughout the past few years that I’ve started to go to dog shows, I see bigger crowds and way more interest when other breeds are in the ring, but very little interest when yorkies are in the ring. So I’m not surprised that yorkies are passed over even on a televised show. It just seems to be the general attitude or climate I guess when it comes to dog shows. I find it odd though it’s that way considering yorkies are so popular with the general public in terms of a pet. It’s too bad. Even when I went to the NYC specialties, I paid $25 or whatever for a reserved front row seat only to find out that practically nobody was there and all the seats were available. For whatever reason it just seems there’s a lack of interest in seeing yorkies competing in dog shows. So in a way I’m not surprised yorkies get little camera time and are often skipped over. It’s unfortunate.
