The confusion comes from the fact that even if it I was definitely benign, he kept saying a small number of them could recur or spread, but if it's benign then I would think it would be harmless.
Anyway, still very confused. I hear so many horror stories about putting a dog out and I am afraid to take the risk if unnecessary. I can't find any info about just leaving it alone. |
Anesthesia is actually very safe as long as you do the pre surgery blood work and proper protocol is done. It’s very rare for a dog to pass when everything is done right. My moms rescue had a benign bump that continued to grow until removed. Non cancers bumps can spread, come back and grow. I personally would have to removed especially if they can fully say it’s not cancer.
