This is a common issue with puppies taken from their mothers to soon. I had similar issues with one of my rescues who I got at 9 weeks. He would get in the shower with you rather then be left alone. Mine never got to vomiting though. If he is making himself sick it becomes a health issue and should have the issue take to the vet. They do make separation anxiety medicine that the vet can prescribe and that really sounds necessary.
