Hi All!

Thank you to anyone with any assistance you can provide!! I have a 15 Week old puppy named Rio that I am having some issues with separation anxiety. We bought a Puppy Apartment to use for him in our town home

After I got him at 8 weeks my mother was visiting so we only ever put him in his crate when we left the house. I think this was the first wrong decision we made to not put him in his crate more. He is not afraid of the crate and will go into it to WeWe and to sleep when we are around. His issue is when we leave the house, if I close the crate and he wakes up, or if I go upstairs without him. He does not like to be confined or alone. He would also vomit after we returned to the house from crying and whining while we were gone. I give him a Kong when we put him in the crate and leave, that is the only time he ever gets it. I have bought some anxiety spray and a diffuser as well.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. It breaks my heart to see him in such a state when we leave. I know he cries the whole time we are gone. I am not sure if this is something that goes away with time of if there are things that I need to be doing to assist the process. Thank you all!
