Our vet does not administer Lepto unless there is a need. Smaller dogs
have a higher risk of anaphylactic reactions to the vaccine. You also need
semi-annual boosters as the vaccine does not build a permanent immunity.
The area we live in has no reported outbreaks of Lepto and therefore we
decided based on his recommendation and my research which is mainly
internet related to forego the vaccine at this time.
