Welcome to YT. I have always had bigger yorkies, nothing wrong with that, they are sturdy dogs and can take rough housing and hard play, no need to worry when they jump off furniture. The smallest yorkie I ever owned was 9 Lbs as an adult, 2 weighed in at 13 Lbs. my last girl now passed was a whopping 17 Lbs, a gorgeous baby, my adopted boy is 12 Lbs. A yorkie no matter the weight is still a yorkie.

As he gets older his hair texture will change as will the color, my guy is now 7 yo and his color keeps changing, the tan always stays the same but the grey changes to silver, steel, black, it's now at a salt and pepper lol.

He sports a puppy cut year round with full face and a pony tail top knot. Puppy cut is low maintenance and I don't have to worry about tangles and knots when he's hunting for critters, or digging holes and sticking his face in them lol. Kush is just adorable, love him for the dog that he is. Potty training can be a bit of a challenge if he is being pad trained. All my yorkies were trained to potty out doors so I had no issues in training, but you do have to confine him to a small area where his pad is kept. No free roam of home until he is 100% pad trained.
