Same here. I believe I must be treated for separation anxiety, not my puppy
Before getting him, I made sure that two of our friends (two couples) with no small children at home were open to and able to take him in for a few days in case it will be necessary. His is 5 months old now but we have already taken him to their homes few times to get acquainted. After reading horror stories about kennels/pet hotels I don't think I would ever leave my dog there, no matter how nice it looks.
