Question Please help! Dog wont stop Biting me

My Yorkie poodle mixed dog is 1 year old now, and i've taught him tricks but hes stubborn so he only listens when he wants to. For a while now, every time I took him out to the backyard and i went in the grass he would run around and jump at me biting. Sometimes its hard enough to leave scrapes/cuts on my skin. I've tried looking at what other people suggested which is to fold my arms and say the command "off"(which he understands) anytime he tries to bite me and when he stops to reward him, but the problem is he never stops biting. He will continue to bite me until i get out of the grass to the pavement side of our backyard. I'm assuming he thinks every time I go to the grass I'm going to play with him, but I dont understand how to properly train him so he'll stop doing this. Besides this problem, when we're inside hes sweet and calm, a very friendly dog.
