I don’t think we ever had a problem with Emma or Troy on the leash . I will say that potty training was an adventure with both yorkies .

I think it took about 18 months for Emma , using crate training and ensuring consistency. She will have an pee accident if she misses her “schedule” but she won’t poop in the house. If we re gone for an extended time she does go in her crate . No accidents there. We don’t use pads if we can help it , if it snows and it’s one of those we are snowed in she has pads but if it’s just a few inches , she goes outside rain, snow , sleet , sunshine , cold or hot.
