Thank you all! I took him in to the vet this morning. Anal glands are fine. Seems to be a bite on the back and tail that has become infected involving part of the tail and down the legs. She gave him a strong antibiotic shot and also cortisone shot. Sent home with a Gentamicin/ Betamethosone spray to his inflamed area twice a day, and Tresaderm Liquid for his ears as they were were quite red. Should get relief from all in 48 hours. He's now sleeping soundly. He was due for his yearly checkup and shots so got that done also. I think as one of the posts above said, his fear was dreading the frequent washing of his butt that was causing him to be afraid and hide. I feel so much better now too! |
