I’m not sure anyone is agruing that dogs shouldn’t be chipped. We were just talking about how it might be more comfortable for them to be chipped when under anesthesia for another reason like neutering or spaying. It is a bigger needle so I’m sure it is uncomfortable but they dock tails without anesthesia which I’m sure hurts a whole heck of I lot more. I too have to been around when a pup has gotten microchipped but they were under anesthesia getting their neuter. My vet generally recommends getting the chip during the surgery and that’s all that was being shared. I’m not sure what upset you. Just people sharing their opinions and experiences that’s what this place is for.
