Oh yeah I agree that I've never been one to believe there are THAT many injuries with tails. Does it happen? Yes. But dogs can break legs, toes, etc, we don't chop them off as a "preventative". That's just silly.

I just wish people would admit it's for cosmetic reasons. Show dogs for example do not have a high chance of winning in the ring in the US if they have a full tail. It's allowed but often judges won't choose them as the best of breed etc. It's all politics.

I LOVE how Jackson uses his tail to swim! He uses it as a propeller! Lola, my cockapoo, has a docked tail and she always starts "sinking" more in her butt area and I think it's from her lack of a tail.
