I think the problem with outright banning is that it's hard to ban one thing and not the other. Many will argue that tail docking is "to prevent injury" just as you believe removing dew claws is.

I'm a huge fan of leaving things au natural. I don't believe most Yorkies are working animals anymore, but pets, so tail docking really seems useless and outdated. I love a full tail!

But, I also hesitate to insist on banning things in regards to our dogs as I feel it is a fine line of what some people find acceptable and what others don't.
