 Barney was attacked
The last two years have been wild. I’ve been out of pocket and haven’t posted much. However yesterday my neighbors dog, a white German Shepherd, ran into our yard and attacked Barney while he was going pee. We immediately drove him to en emergency vet, which is about an hour from home. We had to wait another hour to see her. By the time they got him in, he was starting to go into shock. She put him on an iv to stabilize him and then stitched him up and sent him home last night. He has been lethargic since. He has eaten some but not pooped. He has also been drinking and has peed several times. Peeing is a nightmare because he will only go in the grass and our neighbors are still allowing their dog to run off leash. We are going back to the vet this afternoon. It appears his hind leg is broken. I am just heart broken and would love to hear from anyone whose been through this that he will be ok. |
