I was giving information on techs not assistants. That is the average salary for a tech. Techs actually don’t have to be certified to be techs. You can do the classes and take the bored exams and such but honestly you don’t have to. You would probably be surprised to learn the majority of techs are not certified even the ones at specialists. The online programs which is what most people take don’t last 4 years.
