Vet techs and vet assistance have different education and educational certification. Vet techs make more money that vet assistance. Vet tech programs are often a 4 year BS degree. They work side by side but vet techs are quaified by certification to perform additional duties and responsibilities.

I also understand that some vet assistance’s are certified and some aren’t .
