You really don’t make that much but normally get discounts on vet care. With the online programs you have to actually be working at a vet while taking them. You can become a certified tech by taking the classes or you can work at a vet that will teach you everything and you can be an uncertified tech. Your more likely to see more uncertified vet tech then certified ones. The general average is about $31,000 a year. It is a lot harder then you think. A LOT of memorization and not just all the abbreviations you have to know the skeletal system and the planes it is not easy.
