Gidget pouted all day yesterday. My son came to see me around 6:00 and she was all over him--wanting to be petted, etc. Would have nothing to do with me. Went to bed around 10:30 and she cuddled right up and went to sleep like nothing had happened. Will try the cotton ball soaking next time and see if that works. When I put the Vaseline on, she paced the floors for about an hour. Had never seen her do that but she absolutely walked the floors. Her anxiety level was sky high. Don't know if I want to put her through that again. Still have the option of letting the groomer do it for me. I'm not there so she doesn't associate the experience with me. Can't stand it when she won't have anything to do with me. Had never experienced it to that degree before now . |
