Every heat they have their risk for mammary tumors goes up as well as their risk for poymentra which will kill her even if you get the emergency surgery in the 24 hour time period she can still die. She also could get mated. In unneutered male dogs their prostate can become so inlarged they can not go to the bathroom, as well as testicular cancer and they will hurt themselves and go after a female in heat. Just because your relatives got lucky doesn’t mean anything. Please at least spay your female.
