Ya know, we have them from wee lil babies, see them grow and enjoying life and we love them so much, then we see them slowing down a bit by age 9 or 10, for us the lucky ones that that have them at age 14 that loves gets deeper as they age, I know for me it did, my pup at 17 was 100% blind and deaf, dementia had set in, she had loss of bladder control, I too would pick her up and sing her, her goofy song right into her ear hoping she could hear my voice.
That barking as a ring tone is awesome, but I personally don't know if I could handle that. She is gone 4 years and I still cry over her, I loved her too much I guess. We all spoil our babies throughout their years, but when they become seniors we spoil them more, give in to their wants. When my girl demanded to eat 3 hours before her time I gave her 1/2 her portion and the other 1/2 at her regular time. They are just to sweet as they age.
