No, I actually would not use Benadryl for sedative properties for flying. It can actually have a non-sedating effect in many dogs (AND humans, most especially the elderly, btw!). The only way I'd recommend this is if you first confirm the sedation effect actually works in your dog at least 2-3 times before you fly. Otherwise, you may reallllly regret this, trust me!
