I have a 18 year old male fur baby. He is prone to pancreatitis. He just had a mild episode and received Flagyl and pain med. His vet has put him on rx Royal Canin GI low fat canned food this time. Previously he was on low fat diet. The . problem we are having is the Flagyl makes him constipated. She had said he would probably need to be on this the rest of his life. The vet suggested stop meds put him on pumpkin and now he has very soft stools. I feel so bad for him. I don't know what to do anymore. i have contacted vet (this is part of being a senior dog. Well there should be a happy medium to make him more comfortable. He is eating, drinking and getting around good. Looking for your help. I'm stressed out and I know he is tired of getting his bottom washed. Love this boy so much. i feed bad for him that i can't fix it.Thank you for listening.
