Sometimes I wonder about these vets you really need to do your homework before you go ahead with their advice. I had an avian vet break my parrots neck right in front of me and he denied it. If I had a new dog I would definitely would try the flu vaccine on it but for some reason Kinder could not tolerate it. As for me I have bad allergies and my doctor will not give me the flu and shingles shot because of my low immunity from allergies. That shingles is awful my father had on his head and after it went away he had bad headaches the rest of his life. You are lucky you can take the shingles shot and I think I am going to ask at Walgreens and see what they say for me. Best wishes to you with that shot. susan |
I go to an allergist and they test you for your allergens and then put them into shots and give them to you weekly to boost your immune system and help you not be so sensitive to your allergens you might want to think about giving that a try. I have done them for a year and am now moved over to every two weeks. It helps me a lot and I have less sinus infections now.
