Hello All! This is my second thread on Yorkie Talk. Can someone talk to me about “tummy gurgles”? Cookie is 8 months old. Last week she had her first vet visit ever. She seemed pretty good, except for a cough and some intermittent tummy noises that were happening the previous day. It sounds almost like a stomach growl from hunger, but she’s not hungry. By vet visit day, the tummy noises were gone, and the vet wasn’t too concerned. Throughout the tummy noise day, she was happy, energetic, and ate and pooped normally. The vet put her on 10 days of amoxicillin for the cough. We are on day 6, and she’s seemed to tolerate it well.
Fast forward to this morning- the gurgles are back! She’s eating her food, just had a normal poop, and is acting like it doesn’t bother her in the slightest. She’s in my lap, chewing on her terry cloth toy and just squeaking and rumbling away. My Chihuahua would do this occasionally, and it was completely different- she would be clearly stressed and uncomfortable, and we’d give her medicine and a few days of bland food. Cookie is acting like it’s not even happening. Any advice? Could this be a food issue? She came to us on NutriSource Puppy Formula, but we are willing to switch her. Thank you all
