As I said , some caterpillars are deadly if eaten. Also I suggested a (Cage Muzzle) The dog can pant, breath and even drink water. With the season change suddenly it would be safest to use the muzzle & she can also do training at the same time & when the dangers are gone the muzzle can be removed & the training continued. I'm thinking maybe you are not familiar with a cage muzzle as they are often used for just this problem & as I said, not cruel or uncomfortable. They don't hold the dogs mouth closed at all & the dog can even bark freely. I am not saying the dog should not be properly trained just a suggestion for the urgent & potentialy deadly situation at hand.
