There is nothing wrong with Hill's ID! It bothers me so much to see people like you afraid to give what is good for their pets just based on some internet person who decided one day he could make a living basically BSing people. The only thing I can tell you is that the next time you read an article about dog food rankings be sure to look up the author of the article and his/her credentials....also look for real scientific data that back their claims. There is an inordinate amount of false claims about dog foods on the internet...the ones that bash RX foods infuriate me. |
Absolutely! When calimhad her pancreatitis attack when they discharged her the board certified internal medicine doc gave is all the ID samples. At home we decided on the Royal Canine ID kibbles with a tiny bit of dehydrated chicken on it for means and used the Hills ID kibbles for treated. It has worked great. He lab work is excellent and she is back to her old sassy self.
Years ago, when I was a dog food “purist” I might have scoffed at the ID food but now that I understand the reasoning behind it I totally get it, and we will continue with the plan.
We tried the wet food also, it is smelled so bad (to me) and it would get messed up in her long thick hair sometimes.
Got to go with what he doc’s sa ynis best for her health until the day I finish vet school (which will not be soon!) .
