Do not with hold waster he needs to drink or he is going to get dehydrated! If it is slowly getting better then it's normal but if it's not getting and better then you need to get him back to the vet. Anxiety can cause diarrhea. I have a friend whose dog was sick with diarrhea to the point of pooing blood and had to be hospitalized because of it.
