I understand what you are saying, but I have a Yorkie mix. He looks more like a Yorkie than a Chinese Crested, so it is easier to just say he is a Yorkie. I also have 2 pure bred Yorkies (a traditional and a Parti) so when I have all 3 dogs out and people ask me what they are it is so much easier to just say they are Yorkies since 2 are pure bred and one is half and looks so much like the Parti Yorkie that the next question is if they are siblings.

So some of us don't mean to just say ours are Yorkies, but it is so much easier. My mix is my pride and joy. He knows over 20 tricks and is very well trained. The pure breds are both rescues and are great dogs, but they don't know nearly what the mix does as I got him as a puppy and was able to train him the way I wanted him trained.

Also, some of us love the breed so much that we hate to even get into the discussion that we have a mix. All my dogs are fixed when I get them or in the case of the puppy the day he turned 6 months he was fixed because I was not looking to breed him or any of my others. I just want some good companion dogs to keep my company and make me happy.
