I read this in a vet text. It is the same one that my vet copied the raw diet from.

My dogs and cats get them once a week all the time. Even Prince Charming. He was on i/do for 16.5 years answer never had any problems with bones. |
I didn't know you trained therapy dogs as well as service dogs. They are very different. Considering most places require Therapy dogs to be certified in order to visit hospitals and nursing homes I would think that you might want to check with some of those places that certify them and even some of the places that allow therapy dogs to come. I certainly believe our member who even commended to you on this post and who has a therapy dog. I also did do my research and have found the same things. Whether you agree or not it is something they do. I prefer to trust vet nutritionists over vet techs who have even more limited knowledge of food then some vets. I'm a vet assistant which can also be considered a vet tech and I feel I learned great things about nutrition but it was limited. I'm glad that you have had success I have heard many stories of no success and experienced it to. My older girl Callie has IBD and before she was diagnosed I switched and tried every food including freeze dried raw. She seemed to have the biggest reaction to the freeze dried raw. She was diagnosed and put on Royal Canin Hydrolyzed protein small breed and now only had issues if she gets something not dog food or her certain treats so the prescription food is definitely not causing her stomach issues. Not sure why anyone would keep their dog on a food they thought was causing issues.
