If it was me, when she's in her bed or on the floor, I would get on the floor also, get a ball and YOU play with it, roll it gently, bounce it lightly, any toy will do, but balls seem to be favorites with most dogs, I wouldn't try any squeaky toys yet due to her shyness, the noise may scare her. Talk softly as you do this, have some treats handy, cheerios is a great treat. When she comes towards you, toss her a little treat, the closer she comes throw another treat. Play or entice her to play with you as much as possible and always have treats handy to reward her. She needs time to adjust to new humans, new home, smells, sounds, schedule that's a lotta adjustments for a wee lil baby, be patient with her, be happy and up beat. As long as she is eating, drinking, peeing and pooping she is fine. She needs time to get to know you, trust you, and bond with you, and time to get use to her new surroundings. Poor little sweetie is missing her momma. |
