I was just looking through Petfinder. A yorkie who is 16 was taken to a shelter in Texas to be euthanized. They didn't want her. She is being brought up to NJ by a rescue to be rehomed.
Just don't understand. Our Max was given up at seven because he wasn't affectionate. He's a non-stop lover. We adopted ten year old Spenser in December, but his owner had died, so different a reason.
I understand that there are reasons a good responsible owner might need to rehome a dog of any age, but it seems always sad and sometimes just mean to turn in a dog without compelling reasons.
Sorry, did rescue for ten years, but never get past some decisions.
