In SC, it's an automatic fine if you are caught. I hook JT in a laundry basket. The basket is fastened to another upside down laundry basket with bungee cords and secured in with the seatbelt. I have a leash around the top part of the seat and into the top basket with about 8 inches of play. Once I fasten the leash to his harness, he is secured in the basket at window level so he can look out. The crate pads fit perfectly so he usually lays down on it after a few miles. It has taken some training to get him to understand not to try to crawl over the side of the basket. |
