Just a thought, but have you thought about a cat instead? Bc you don't really have to "train" them at all.

As far as nails, nail dremels or any dremel are everywhere - Amazon, Home Depot, Lowes, PetCo, PetsMart etc....

Sorry I probably should had elaborated more on that. By 100% trained I mean that on a typical average day (the dog's health is fine, I am taking them out on time, etc) that I won't find a random turd on the floor or a puddle of piddle on the floor... -If- they're either sick or there's some valid reason for them to do it on the floor (like I didn't take them out on time, or I was late- which rarely ever happened with the time we've had sasha) then yeah I would expect piddle and a pile of dung on the floor...

Also for training Sasha climbs on the couches everytime she hears a car going by (there's also a little ledge on the windows-- I dont know what the word is for it, but it's the kind of windows that have enough room for a dog to climb and walk on) and when she does that-- the couch becomes dirty. Sasha is long haired and even weekly washes aren't enough to keep all of the dirt off of her. The sofas are brand new. I am thinking of getting covers for them in the time being.

But everytime I find her on the sofa I sigh in despair because furniture isn't cheap and let's face it. Not everyone can afford to replace furniture on a monthly basis...

She knows the command "off" and she didnt used to climb on the sofa in the old house but because the sofas are by the windows she does here. (there's nowhere else to put them as itll look cluttered anywhere else)... But just because she knows off doesn't mean she'll do it without me saying it or even just not get on there at all. I don't ever sit on the sofas with the dogs either. Or my bed, or anything other than one specific chair. Which I call my dog handling chair. lol

Also, I wish I could get her to ignore other dogs and people completely (like instead of running up to them and yapping at them -- even bigger dogs)... You'd think after that incident with the crazed pittbull in the last house ... you'd think she'd learn by now... dogs might not be the smartest creatures out there-- but they're certainly not the dumbest either.. they might not know about things like roads, but they should by now know not to pick a fight with another dog--- particularly if that dog is twice the size of her...

She will never bite another person or a dog because we -somewhat- tested it (not 100% tested it) but on leash we let them get near each other gradually and see what would happen. (we did this only when we introduced her to maggie). She just barked, and anytime maggie oversteps her boundry she just chases maggie and barks at her but she never bites. She's a prime definition of all bark no bite(I think same with maggie though).

This one I know is a tad unrealistic in my case-- but if I could get her to focus anytime I go on walks and not be distracted by other people, dogs, etc then I wouldn't mind walking her around the neighborhood. I can't even walk her outside because she'll just bark and bark and bark at everything... I don't want to be a nuisance neighbor... My backdoor neighbor are an old retired couple who always stay outside in the yard during the day time(every single day) and even if we completely fixed the fence I wouldnt be able to let sasha roam free because anytime she sees or hears their dog she barks(even with leash she runs like a mad dog to the fence and barks).

Would also help with having her poop on command.

If I could train her to stop the whining any time anyone is eating or preparing food(she's begging for food-- it was cute at first but now its not)... none of us even indulged her on that. She only ever started doing it when my little cousin started to come over and feed her scraps.... or tease her while eating...

If I could train her(Sasha) to walk on leash properly... She pulls at the leash and you can see her gasping for air sometimes because she just keeps pulling it's unnerving. We tried a harness but she tries to chew it off or just takes it off somehow... She might be a little 22 (or something) pound dog but she does have strength for a little dog....

For maggie I just want her to not bolt out the door anytime someone opens it (it hasnt happened because we havent let her-- but you can see her waiting by the door-- she tried once and we caught her)....

To stop eating crap off the floor, and to actually drop it when we tell her to drop it or leave it. Anytime she gets close to something she's going to try to eat(when taking her out on a walk) I have to pull her away from it...

The barking she's so-so on it. She barks depending on who it actually is and dogs. She barks and growls at my brother like crazy (since day 1-- even when he just met her) he never actually spends time with her either so its not like he did anything to her. Although she only does it if I am present, she'll stand infront of me and bark at him enraged. I wonder if she picks up that I am not 100% fond of him sometimes. (siblings quarrel even into adulthood).

I take her out at minimum 3 times a day (if im going to be away for the day I take her out in the morning , then before I leave and after I come back) but on an average day 4-6 times a day and she doesn't always want to go (either piddle or poop).

Didnt poop or pee last night, so I had to wake up at 4 am (an ungodly hour for me) just to take her out... had to sleep longer in because of that.

She doesn't always eat her food right away either. She likes to stash treats too. Like if I give her a treat the little scamp will take it and stash it somewhere and sometimes she forgets her stash and itll smell a few days later. Now I make sure she eats it on the spot or I throw it out.
