I got my Tibbe at 9 mos. of age and he occas. made a throat sound as if he were trying to clear a hairball or something from his throat. That has continued and now that he's almost 10, the hacking is a bit more frequent, with additional hacking sometimes after drinking water or barking a lot. I fear he's got some early stage of collapsing trachea though the vet has never diagnosed it. He's also had his share of reverse sneezing, though that was a lot more frequent the first 5 years. Once his diet was changed for MVD Dx., and probiotics added to his food, his RS has practically stopped.
Tibbe has had yearly dental cleanings and I'm told he's been placed under general anesthesia for each of the 9 cleanings he's had. Wouldn't CT have been noticed during any intubation?
