Great advice, Villette and Jaspermom. Now I feel guilty for trying to stir up trouble! Well, I do enjoy it so! Maybe just a little bit guilty.
I had never even thought about supplements. I will look into the stuff you recommended.
Jack is probably closer to 7, Villette. Rescue lady told me 5, but one vet estimated 7 and another estimated 7-9. I can't BELIEVE you thought he was 4!
