If the discharge is yellow-greenish...then a vet needs to see it bc of possible infection.

Otherwise, could be due to allergies too. Anytime certain pollens are heavy in the air here, 3 of my dogs' eye issues worsen.

I would go to pollen.com and sign up for their email notifications for high pollens in your area - this way, you can keep track of whether or not her eye issues are worse during certain times of year etc.
