I just use what I was told by the vet, a wet paper towel and to rub the area gently and itll come loose. It works. The stains don't come off but she has dark brown fur so you really dont notice it easily.
They do look and feel like boogers... Rather gross to think about. Been calling them eye boogers, eye snots, eye gunk. Mostly eye boogers.
